As promised, here is the 2nd farewell dinner I have on 3rd March 2010, Wednesday and this time with my high school mate.
We went to Sunway Pyramid, not knowing what to eat... We wanted to try the Arabic food there but it was no longer there! I guess they closed down due to minimal business. So we wandered around not knowing to eat and we were hungry! Finally, we decided to go to Thai-Thai. That was my first time there, so I made my friend decide on what to eat. Haha!
She ordered the Creamy Coconut Tom Yam Soup.
Well, it wasn’t that creamy in my point; quite very watery. But it did taste good. Spicy, and the tom yam taste sure blew me away! I like the soup.
Of course what is Thai food without their Green Curry!
We had Beef Green Curry.
Slightly bland and since I always like my beef with the beefy taste in it, this one didn’t have it. Somehow this curry was lacking something... maybe lack of coconut cream. Makes me miss my second sister Green Curry...
Pandan Chicken was not to be missed of course.
Their Pandan Chicken is good, though I am sure they can better.
Pineapple juice.
Nothing to shout about.
We had their Water Chestnut Dessert.
So I heard it was a Thai dessert thing other the Sticky Mango Rice. My friend and I shared this; too little jackfruit and it was thinly sliced! Insufficient water chestnut too.
Overall the meal was a pleasant one. Presentation of the dish is good. Taste are just lacking... they can do better than this. But to my knowledge, other than having a good Thai food that we need to be in Thailand to have, the rest we have around are quite costly. This meal was about RM70+. For that price, to have a taste of what Thai food would be like, it is ok... but I will not go again too much for that. Not worth it in my opinion. Any other Thai-Thai in other places would be better? Do let me know.
Next farewell dinner – Full House at “Ngau Cheh Siu” (Cow Water Car? Hehe)
**This is a scheduled post :)**

Yay! I am the first today. Good morning LV! :D
The Creamy Coconut Tom Yam Soup looks more like oily to me. Hmmm...there is such thing as creamy? Ha :D
Awww.....I wanna try the pandan chicken too. :p
The green curry looks nice. Tried cooking with the curry mix in a packet...but it ended up looking like chicken kurma instead. Tasted ok though.
P.S. Got ur key chain, thanks. Will post on that in a couple of days.
Never had a creamy coconut tom yam soup before. Always had either the red hot spicy version or the clear soup based one. Mine preference is the clear tom yam soup.
Wah, a lot of makan event. Make me hungry. :D
The one I went to at Sri Ayutthaya, Medan Damansara also not nice
LV... hey, i m in KL now.. but i heard that u sent me something.. gosh.. i guess i know what it is.. i seen some bloggers blogged about it.. how nice of u! thank u very much..tomorrow i will be back in IPOH then i will know..
would love the pandan chicken!
Tomyam and pandan chicken for me.....can eat more rice lor!
Must be hard to bid farewell to friends and families. But you know, that's life, we grow up, start our family and build our career.
We only have frozen pandan leaves in my city. I've never had pandan chicken before but I can imagine how fragrant it must be. Our Thai restaurants don't have nice desserts only fried banana with ice cream. That's about it.
if you want darling, when u are back here, we can all go sweet basil leaf in ss2.. you will love their food better.. i can't even start counting how many nice dishes there are...
Yum! I like the water chestnut! But the water chestnuts and jackfruit must be generously provided or else I would be disappointed! : )
thanks for the keychain!!! love it
hopefully we'll meet in time too
we still have plans to go to m'sia and s'pore in time (fingers crossed)

Hello ladyviral,
I hope life in singapore is great. How long do you intend to stay there with your hubby? Do come back and visit us sometimes yeah?
You are so lucky that many of your friends gave you a farewell dinner. When I quit my job last year, none of my friends actually throw me a farewell dinner. Maybe they didn't like me as much as your friends like you. hahaha
Ok then. see you again yeah?
