My 3-Day Weekend

Today is a holiday;

Another 3-day weekend for us eh?
On Saturday I went for lunch with my friend. She wanted Korean food; her favorite porridge thingy like thing on a hot day, I called her insane. Well, eventually since I don’t know what to eat, she got her way to it. We went to Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant.

I ordered noodles, wanted something light and different.

Cold Buckwheat Noodles in Cold Soup with pear, cucumber slices and a hardboiled egg (I don’t remember the name of this dish to be honest hahaha). The meal was refreshing. The whole bowl is cold, the soup is cold and the sweetness yet sourness gives appetite. A good dish for a hot day; don’t let its simple look of the dish deceive you.

Tidbits and Kimchi Pancake
Kimchi Pancake (close view)This is a spicy pancake. Something different from the usual asian style savory pancakes I don’t know how to describe this, but do give it a try.

In the evening I accompany my mom back to her hometown, Seremban for dinner celebration of my eldest uncle’s birthday. I got separated from my mom in seating. I was bored through out the night. Some laughters here and there. So much for being there and taking care of my mom. Thank God I was not bombarded with the “When are you getting married” question. Instead this time round it was “*comes over to hug me* Marrying Singaporean ar!” Er… so my mom told the whole world already. Oh well…

I spent the rest of my 3days break watching Hell Girl Season 3.I finished the whole season in just 3-days haha.

Back to work tomorrow.

How was your 3-day weekend this time?

Wow..kimchi pancake is something new to me.

Did you know there's seafood kimchi? Kimchi is not confined to vegetables alone. I found out when I visited a Korean art gallery where the Korean community served seafood kimchi.

so much time to watch huh? I only managed to watch dreamcatcher last sunday.

I don't like cold soups, somehow hot/warm soups makes me feel a lot better. i also went to a meeting one hot day with a korean friend and she made me go to a korean diner. I ordered korean dumpling since me and my baby's craving for soup. It was good but the rice cakes in it was too much. It was a big bowl plus korean dishes always have little side dishes to go with it.

hehehe now you got your much needed hugs for your nearing ROM!

ladyviral said...

foongpc : I know that! I love eating ice cream during cold weathers too! hahaha. :P Ok guess I am crazy too.

Waaa no more flirting! :P

ladyviral said...

foongpc : It was yummy... for a hot day like the one I had :P.

Oh yea... I watched the whole season in 3 days! Other the whole relatives and korean lunch outing, I spent it mostly at home watching anime hehehe.

ladyviral said...

Life Ramblings : Yea thanks to her! Hahaha...

Woot FC again! Yay. Thanks ^-^.

ladyviral said...

Life Ramblings : It is yummy to me :P and my friend likes it a lot too! haha...

I keep thinking Nuzul Q'ran was a public holiday instead of a State Holiday...

ladyviral said...

Lina : I want more of that soba too! hahaha :P Though I didn't managed to fisnih that day cause it was a really big bowl!

Aiyar... they should make it a public holiday :(.

ladyviral said...

zamspotte : Well, I go no complains on it... but I think my friend like it much more than I do haha.

ladyviral said...

Ayie : Yea 3day holiday and not wanting to go out to save the wallet some despair hahah.

Well, on that hot day I was in, the cold soup was yummy. And yes it is a big bowl and the tidbits too!

Way lots of hugs! Cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews! Brrr... I was like hugged limit :P.
