Jelly Mooncakes

I am still posting about the mooncakes :P. I will come to my backdated events soon. Do stay tune!

I thought every Jelly Mooncakes in my previous post are all filled with Red Bean paste; but I was wrong.

Here is what is really filled inside the jelly mooncakes!

Pink (well, my picture in the previous looks orangey hehehe and this picture looks orangey too! But it is really pink); This is made of the pink coloring I think, cause I taste nothing from the "skin" and filled with red bean. Not at all sweet and just nice! Can you see the jelly yolk? Hehehe. Maybe too dark to see.

Yellow; It is made of corn! the whole yellow jelly mooncake is made of corn. Looks corn pieces in it.

Green; This one is made of pandan and filled with green bean paste. Another jelly yolk hehe. Looks like lotus filled mooncake with single yolk yea?

I didn't managed to shoot pictures of the chocolate one. By the time I reach home; I found it cut up and only my two slices was left for me and because it would look so measly if I shot the picture, so I decided not to shoot any at all. but the chocolate one was VERY sweet least in my opinion. The jelly is made of Milo and the filling was cocoa (I am not sure :P just my guess). Well, since I am not much of a chocolate person, maybe that is why hehe (sorry chocolate lovers that you do not get to see the chocolate mooncake).

Well, Jelly mooncakes are all eaten up by now! My family enjoyed it so much they finished it all up by the weekend! Sorry to those who wanted pieces of it; you missed it all this weekend. Well, you get them in shots now :P.

I didn't managed to see the full moon on Saturday nor did I see any lanterns. I stayed in the house throughout the weekend. So I guess my mid-autumn festival went by with me playing game :P haha.

How did you spend your 15th day of the lunar calendar? Did you go anywhere, play lanterns or watch any lantern parade?

Mid Autumn - Mooncakes

Before the mid autumn festival gets too old and outdated, I shall post this first instead of my backdated happenings.

Yesterday family friends came by with mooncakes. Heeee~ I get mooncakes!

This one is bought.Such a nice box yea? I respect all this mooncake box designers. So creative.

The mooncakes inside.
This one is homemade.Look at the box, wonder where the person who made this got the box from.

Here are the mooncakes. They are jelly mooncakes, and looks like red bean filling.Yay! Red bean filling mooncakes! My favorite.

A closer view of the 4 pieces homemade mooncakes.
Can someone tell me what the Chinese characters read (yea I am a “Banana”)?
Oh and guess what, this homemade mooncake is made by a guy! Quite a young chap if I am not wrong. I forgot to ask… but it was a colleague to the family friend. I am still amazed how some guys can cook or even bake!

I get to eat scrumptious mooncakes! Especially the homemade ones… so tempting yummy~

I would like to thank those people who gave my family this mooncakes. It is sure mouth watering even just thinking about it. Thank you for the great gesture. I thought this mid autumn I wouldn’t be able to get mooncakes much anymore… so I was wrong hee~

Did you eat mooncake this mid autumn? Did you enjoy it? So where is my share :P?
